West Wales Dive Company (WWDC) a.k.a. West Wales Divers, began life as an air filling station in an MOD shed in Talbenny back in 1968. It moved to Hasguard Cross in 1978 where it remained until the recession of 2008 when the retail section was closed down. It now operates as a PADI 5 Star Resort based at the YHA in Broad Haven, offering accommodation, training courses, boat diving trips, air filling, drysuit repairs, suunto computer battery changes, guided shore diving and snorkelling.

WWDC is owned and run by Karen Flannery, a PADI Course Director. She is is one of the most qualified female instructors in the UK. She gained an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Swansea University, and holds a post graduate degree in teaching, (Physics and Maths). Karen has been diving for over 20 years, has logged over 5000 dives worldwide, and has run premier dive operations in Australia and Fiji. She holds several scuba technician qualifications, teaches PADI Instructor Courses, First Aid Instructor Courses, Mathematics up to A-Level and is a commercially endorsed boat skipper.

  

Gareth has been diving for over 10 years, has logged 1000’s of dives worldwide, is qualified to teach all PADI courses from Open Water through to Divemaster, teaches first aid and is a commercially endorsed boat skipper. He is also a qualified Mechanic and is very handy with boat engines.

   

Chris is a PADI Staff Instructor, qualified to teach PADI courses from Open Water through to Assistant Instructor. Chris has speciality ratings in Side Mount, Cave Diving, Night Diving, Deep Diving, Dry Suit, Digital Underwater Photography, Wreck Diving, Enriched Air, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery & Emergency Oxygen provision. Chris gained an honours degree in clinical science and holds a post graduate degree in teaching. He has has logged thousands of dives worldwide, having dived extensively throughout Thailand, Egypt, Mexico, Cuba, St Lucia and South Africa. He teaches first aid and is currently training to become a commercially endorsed boat skipper.
